EEC|CCNY hosts first interdisciplinary waste workshop, Megacity Waste Management Dialogue , at CCNY

EEC|CCNY hosted its first workshop at CCNY, Megacity Waste Management Dialogue, that brought together all interest groups in waste management – industry professionals, academia, government agencies, and policy makers – to openly discuss the most pressing topics for waste management in megacities, such as NYC.  Attendees were from all around the globe and speakers included Commissioner Kathryn Garcia of the Department of Sanitation of New York (DSNY).  The outcome of this conference will be a report compiling the major points from the workshop’s breakout sessions that will serve as a roadmap for sustainable waste management in megacities.
