Since the conference is being held within the premises of The City University of New York (CUNY), every visitor to a CUNY campus, whether accessing indoor or outdoor spaces, must provide proof to CUNY that they (i) are fully vaccinated or (ii) have had a negative COVID-19 molecular (PCR) test performed by an accredited lab no more than 7 days prior to the visit. “Fully vaccinated” means:

  • Two weeks after a second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines; or
  • Two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine; or
  • At the time specified in either the FDA licensure or World Health Organization approval, after the final administration of any other vaccines.

Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to share that the EEC/WTERT bi-Annual Conference will occur in the Fall of 2022 as an in-person event. This marks the return of the in-person conference following the postponement of the Fall 2020 EEC/WTERT bi-Annual Conference.

The call for abstracts is now open through June 1st 2022. The conference is expected to include speakers from around the world collectively representing the global perspective on best waste management practices. The abstract submission will be screened for suitability for presentation by the scientific committee and the conference coordinators. Please indicate your preference of poster or oral presentation at the time of submission of your abstracts.

We welcome researchers, engineers, students, academicians, and people from all segments of the sustainable waste management hierarchy to attend the conference and share the experiences and lessons with other enthusiasts and develop opportunities for cooperation. The conference dates are October 13-14th 2022. Please see the attached flyer for additional details. ​
