EEC|CCNY begins collaboration with Dow Chemical and ACC on understanding the role of plastics in MSW decoupling

In the past, it has been believed that economic growth leads to increased MSW generation.  An analysis of the trends, however, reveals that there is in fact a decoupling of MSW from economic indicators, such as GDP and PCE.  EEC|CCNY will be conducting a study to investigate the potential causes of this decoupling trend and specifically the role that plastics may play in it.
